Mystery Solved!

My Mom's been tending cucumber plants in hopes of growing real cucumbers. Unfortunately, nothing goes as planned. Something's been munching on the tiny cucumbers, the leaves, and the stems even though my mom's wrapped a protective mesh around and under them. We've been wondering who the culprit is for the longest time, thinking it's been a rabbit or maybe a deer. My dad claimed he saw a groundhog near them the other day, but none of us saw it, so there wasn't any proof. After all, he'd said it had only been near them. It could have been sniffing out the grass on our lawn for all we knew.

Well, we finally figured it out yesterday. It was indeed the groundhog my dad had spotted. It had somehow managed to get itself trapped in the mesh.
